Privacy Policy

Raccoon Events ("we," "us") operates private after-party events and a guest check-in and messaging service. This policy describes what information we collect from guests, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Registration information: your name and mobile phone number, provided by you in person at event check-in, and your preferred messaging channel (SMS or WhatsApp).
- Attendance history: the events you have checked in to, used to track standing and eligibility for invite-only events.
- Donation records: if you choose to donate via PayPal or Venmo, we record the amount and date of your donation. Payments are processed entirely by PayPal or Venmo; we never see or store your payment credentials.
- Message consent records: your opt-in confirmation (e.g., your "Y" reply) and any opt-out requests.
How we use your information
- To check you in at events and verify your phone number.
- To send you event-related messages โ invitations, updates, photo links, and donation requests โ via your chosen channel.
- To determine eligibility for invite-only events.
- To attribute donations. Any donations collected are used to improve future events and sustain them.
Text messaging and consent
You opt in to text messages by providing your phone number in person at event check-in and confirming by reply. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or get help by replying HELP. See our SMS Terms & Conditions.
Sharing of information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and providers of the text message services that enable delivery of our messages (e.g., Twilio).
We use service providers solely to operate this service: Twilio (message delivery), Supabase (data storage), and PayPal/Venmo (donation processing). Each receives only the information needed to perform its function. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Data retention and deletion
We keep registration and attendance records while the event series is active. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us; we will remove your records except where retention is required for donation accounting.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this address with a new effective date.
